Various photographs, mostly of the flood

This is old news, but maybe some of you will remember this from last year. These pictures are not put into chronological order:



Here is a picture of a vehicle behind our ambulance station that got flooded. Prior to this picture, the vehicle had been submerged deeper than this, with about a foot of water above its roof.




Here is our off site base, thanks to a local business for loaning us their parking lot, while our station was flooded.




Here is a view of the street out front of the station. Notice the fire hydrant, then the sign on the other side of the road, then the river that is flowing under the bridge in the background. It was the flooding of this river (The Schuylkill River) during a huge storm that caused all the mess.




This picture below is just to the left of the picture above. This is our station in the morning after the storm had passed. The building is a bi-level structure. If you click on the picture, and look closely, you'll notice that the water was a little higher on the wall above the generator.





Here is a picture of the Schuylkill River about at its peak during the flood. Normally this river is about 1 - 2 feet deep at the most, but at this point it was more like 13 -14 feet deep, and moving really fast.
